  My wife and I had not been here for 10 years, but had some pleasant memories from the place, so we chose Claim Jumper for our 18th anniversary dinner. How the place has changed! First off, It smelled musty inside, like old carpet. The staff was without a clue how to handle someone with reservations. We got the deer-in-the-headlights response when we arrived. The man who said he'd go figure our where to seat us ran off and started busing tables instead. Once we were finally seated, our waiter delivered the first round of drinks in reasonably quick fashion, then disappeared for 10 minutes before he came back to take the order for appetizers. By then, we were ready to order dinner as well, but he basically wouldn't allow that until after the appetizer had been been delivered. By the time we were allowed to order dinner, our wine glasses were empty. He did stop by to inquire if we would like more wine, then vanished from the premises for well over 20 minutes. I was about to ask if our waiter had quit when someone else delivered the wine. I can understand delays if the house was jumping, but a third of his section was empty. The food....ack! My wife ordered blackened salmon. Reasonably tasty, but over-cooked. I ordered a Porterhouse (Prime Rib is no longer on the menu). This was by far the worst steak I have ever had in my life. It was cooked to a lovely medium rare, but how it was cooked is a mystery. There were no grill marks, so it never got near an open flame. There were no sear marks, so it never saw hot iron. The surface was rubbery, and a strange uniform color of brown that I had never seen on beef before. I suspect it might have been steamed? No seasonings at all had been applied. It tasted like liver. I couldn't eat it, and I'm a man who has no trouble whatsoever putting down a 2.5 pound steak with all the trimmings.
  
  I give 1 star only because zero stars is not an option. We will never go there again.

  My family and I are on vacation and we stopped in here and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Our food was wonderful and the service was amazing. I believe Nick was our server and he could not have done a better job.

  Typical food. The staff is clumsy and scattered. Low quality food for the prize. Decent for appetizers.
